August Project Marriage Challenge: In the Bedroom

Congratulations Teresa Kander!  You are the lucky winner of August’s Project Marriage Challenge!  This giveaway is now closed, thank you all for participating!

Life Without Pink and I want to personally welcome you to August’s Project Marriage monthly challenge!

This month’s Project Marriage challenge is titled, “In the Bedroom“.  Ooo, I know that sounds salacious but this month’s theme is really what you make of it.  We are challenging you all to make a change (big or small) in your bedroom.  We wanted to keep this month’s theme open to interpretation because our bedrooms are our most personal space in our homes and the room holds different meanings for each of us.  For some, your bedroom is your hideaway.  For others (like me), it is simply a place where you sleep on a horribly uncomfortable mattress.

A change in your bedroom can be anything, such as:

  • Trading in that crappy oversized T-shirt and shorts you normally wear to bed for something a little cuter (or at least matching)
  • Finally moving that weight bench nobody uses outta there so you can stop stubbing your toe on it in the middle of the night
  • Keeping technology out of the bedroom (the horror!)
  • Tossing those old pilly sheets for a nice new set (up that thread-count Baby!)
  • A fresh coat of paint
  • Getting rid of that pile of junk in the corner (hey, we all have one)
  • Simply giving your bedroom a good scrubbing

Remember, the change you make can be as big or small as you want it to be and for goodness sakes, it doesn’t need to be expensive!  If you’ve got big changes in mind, don’t worry about getting it all done in a month.  Simply tell us what you plan to change and why!  Before and afters are super fun but most definitely not required.

Whatever you decide, take this opportunity to make a positive change in your bedroom – it’s likely the only place you and your spouse spend more than 10 minutes a day together.

We are super excited to announce this month’s Project Marriage Challenge is sponsored by 123Underwear, your source for all things underneath it all!

One lucky In the Bedroom participant will win a $75 shopping spree to 123 Underwear!  They have everything from bras, undies, shapewear, sleepwear, swimwear and stuff for the man in your life too.  How fun is that?!

As always, we have a linky open for you until August 31st to share your In the Bedroom adventures and pictures!

Click here to enter your In the Bedroom link!

Bloggers:  We have a linky open above for you to share your date night posts and/or vlogs.  If you could do us a favor by linking back to this marriage challenge in your post and tweet your post with the #projectmarriage hashtag it would really help us spread the word!  Thanks so much!

Non-Bloggers:  We most definitely want to hear from you too!  If you’re interested in vlogging, please add your YouTube link to the blog hop, otherwise simply share your In the Bedroom experience in a comment – we so hope you do!

We know you want to win this prize (because we do too), so please be sure to link up your In the Bedroom post by August 31st to be eligible to win!  One lucky winner will be announced on September 2nd on the Project Marriage Facebook page and on Twitter (be sure to follow #projectmarriage).

Speaking of Project Marriage’s Facebook page, be sure to “Like” us there and feel free to share your In the Bedroom links and pictures there too!  Your support of your fellow Project Marriage participants is so totally awesome and we love you for that!

Oh yeah, one more little thing: Feel free to lift the Project Marriage image or the monthly challenge image to use in your post because they are totally cute!  We’re all in this together and looking to spread the Project Marriage word!  Backlinks are always appreciated as well.

Ready, set, make a change!  We can’t wait to hear all about it!

  1. Just stumbling on your site… (in the hospital with my baby and widdling away time *sigh*) but what a WONDERFUL idea!!! Will be thinking on what to change… right now for it to be CLEAN would be better than nothing!!! (And minus a baby in a port-a-crib at the foot of our bed would be better too… actually… having that baby IN that crib instead of a hospital one at the moment would be SUPER nice!!!)

Anyway, will be thinking on it!

  2. I’m super excited about this one! So many things to change in there!

  3. In the past 3 months I’ve purchased two new sets of high thread count sheets. One I still haven’t opened. Let’s just say these purchases were part of retail therapy. Honestly, I think my bedroom challenge will be to not nurse in the middle of the night anymore. I’m actually on my 3rd night of this weaning process. So maybe I’ll call mine ProjectBaby. lol

  4. I was really worried when I read the title. In fact, I did not open the post right away. I was worried that this was a naughty challenge. Shame on me and my dirty mind! 😉
This is a great challenge. 🙂

  5. Oh my, I totally failed at last month’s challenge. We went on a double date but couldn’t help mentioning our kids. Anyway, I will do better this month! But all I can think of is that we’ll probably be putting a bassinet in our room for baby girl — must think of something more exciting to do…

    • Girl, on a double how can you not mention the kids! No worries, I’m so glad you’ll be participating this month – especially with all you have going on Mama!

  6. Patsy Prough says:

Does it count that we just re-did all the floors of the house? We have fresh paint and new wood floors in our bedroom! 🙂

    • Ooo, new paint and floors in the bedroom…nice!

      • Patsy Prough says:

Yep. Now we just have to send our really nice comforter to get dry cleaned so that I can have my pretty bed back. But, that is going to have to wait. 🙂 I’ll post a pic when we’re completely done with it. 🙂 Our dark floors will look great with our bedding.

  7. One thing I need to get rid of is this ugly stained chair that has become a laundry basket!

  8. Okay, this sounds fun! Count me in. Wonder if I should tell my husband or just surprise him. lol
