If you thought choosing a name for your unborn baby was the hard part, it’s only because you haven’t been on the receiving end of the disapproving reactions associated with a less than loved baby name selection.
As the mother of two sons, I made the mistake of revealing both of my son’s names prior to delivery. Riddled with questions like, “Why that name?” and “Do you have any other names in mind?” and reactions like, “I think I’ll call him [insert popular nickname] instead.” and “I had a dog named that once” my husband and I were left second guessing our name choices instead of identifying with the wonderful names we had selected.
