Beyond the Thank You Card – Creative Expressions of Gratitude

Do you force your kids to write Thank You cards?   I’m guilty as charged.  I wanted my kids to be grateful and polite and all that other good stuff that meant I was doing my job well.

I realized recently that gratitude can go beyond the Thank You card they hated writing.  Gratitude could (and really should) be fun!

I’d be grateful if you clicked right here to find out how!

  1. Hi there! Found you from WWW and l just wanted to thank you for the suggestion of a video thank you card. My in-laws are long distance and seeing the kidlets would mean more to them than a card! Great idea! 🙂

  2. OH yes! I give only a couple days to get them all written, and let me tell you, that’s not easy after a high school grad party, but I too think it’s SO important that kids write their own thank you’s and in a timely manner! I also think it’s sorta funny when they dread doing it, and then while they’re doing it they love it and want to read the individualized writings to me. Great post. I went to associatedcontent and tweeted it for ya!

  3. I always write thank you cards. Always. And when writing them for my little guy I write them from him in the best kids hand writing I can do. 😉 Great ideas you shared for creative thank you’s. As he gets older and it’s time for him to show his appreciation himself these ideas could be put to good use! Thanks, Lori!
