The Bored Boy Wonder

Poor Boy Wonder, his mom blogs for Babble’s Toddler Times and she’s all toddler all the time.

Sometimes it’s easy to forget I’ve gots myself an almost 9 year old man-child living down the hall.

I haven’t written about Boy Wonder in way too long and truthfully, there’s plenty to say. First, we started off 4th grade without the behavioral issues we encountered last year (yay for that) but we still face the issue of immense boredom in the classroom.

I don’t know if my son is a creative genius or just plain lazy sometimes. He’s plenty smart. He’s plenty creative. He’s plenty bored.

I’m not making excuses here, but I swear the artistic dreamer in him is busy of conjuring up a million and one dreams while his cohorts are busy learning about complex and simple predicates.

What’s a mother to do?

I know I’m not alone here, do you have a dreamer child bored in the classroom?
