We’re a Disney loving family and yes, I’m a sucker for apps that keep my kids wildly entertained. Hey, as a work-at-home mom I get by with a little help from my apps.
The good people at Disney have just released two free (that’s right – free!) apps that your kids will totally love.
The first app is Mickey Mouse Club House Road Rally which is an interactive “appisode” of “Mickey Mouse Clubhouse” where BooBoo was able to use problem solving skills to help Mickey and his pals finish a race. He was counting, using shapes, and relying on the help of his mouseketools on his road rally adventure. I loved the interactive entertainment of this app, literally placing my child into a “Mickey Mouse Clubhouse” adventure; I’ve never seen anything like it!
The second app is Jake’s Never Land Pirate School where we were able to actually import a photo of BooBoo into the app for a unique learning adventure. BooBoo took classes in all things pirating and even earned his very own certificate signed by Jake himself! The app challenges were highly interactive and fun, encouraging problem solving skills with loads of positive reinforcement along the way. Ahoy!
I have to be honest here. I find it difficult to keep BooBoo interested in age appropriate apps when his much older brother is busy playing games and apps with more mature themes. For the first time in the history of our iPad, Boy Wonder actually wanted to play BooBoo’s apps. I couldn’t really blame him, I was dying to take one of Jake’s Pixie Dust classes myself!
Listen, your kids need these apps. They’re awesome. And free!
Join us August 8th at 9 PM EST for a Disney Junior Twitter party! You could win an iPad. RSVP at http://bit.ly/QsXDE2 and use the hashtags #spon and #mackidtips
But wait, there’s totally more. Please mention that Disney Junior Disney Junior WATCH makes full length episodes of its popular shows available online at www.watchdisneyjunior.com and via the Disney Junior WATCH app on iPad, iPhone and iPod touch and IT’S FREE! Don’t cha just love free?
If you’re a Comcast Xfinity subscriber, you have access to premiere content, including a live feed of the network online and through the app. After the live feed, current shows will be available “on demand”. Perfect if you’re in the middle of a show and need to run out to do errands. Best of all, no complaints from the kids that they’ll miss the end of their show. And kids fighting over difeerent programming is no longer a problem. One can watch on the TV, while the other watches on their favorite device. And another thing, no more worrying about missing their fave show! They’ll have up to 10 days to catch up on WATCH! If you’re a Disney Junior fan without Comcast, have no fear. Simply ask your cable provider for the service via the website or the app.
A big thanks to Disney Junior for sponsoring this campaign. Click here to see more of the discussion.
