Did you know this Father’s Day marks the 100th anniversary of celebrating dads on this special day? A thoughtful daughter came up with the idea while listening to a Mother’s Day sermon in 1909. A year later she chose to hold the first Father’s Day celebration in Spokane, Washington on the 19th of June, 1910 and the rest is history!
To our Daddy Friends, we at Mommyfriend know how worthy of celebration you are for all you do! Happy Father’s Day!
In honor of Father’s Day, I wanted to take this opportunity to write a gaggy love letter to my favorite Daddy Friend, Big Daddy P.
Dear Big Daddy P,
How do I love thee, let me count the ways.
One, I love you for upping my cool factor. You listen to cool music, rock the cycling shorts and have awesome taste in women *wink*. If you weren’t already mine, I’d try to steal you.
Two, I love you for being a wonderful example to our boys and for all the love and hard work you continually pour into our family.
Three, I love you for your contribution to Mommyfriend. Thank you for being my illustrator and for always drawing me skinny.
Without you, Mommyfriend would look like this:
Kinda skinny, but just not the same.
So today and always, thank you for being you. Happy Father’s Day!
And because this is Father’s Day, I want to thank my Dad for teaching me all the life lessons only a dad could.
He’s not a doctor, he just plays one on T.V.
So Daddy Friends, take the day and celebrate the awesomeness that is you! Cheers!

Can’t tell you how much I enjoyed your father’s day blog. It’s great having you as a friend.
Hugs
Awesome post! I’m definitely a Daddy’s girl too…
